One advantage of the warm mornings is we get to see a lot more snakes when we walk.

In the past week we’ve seen a yellow rat snake, a rough green snake, a black racer and a southern ringneck snake. The ringneck snakes are neat because they are very small… maybe a foot long and very thin. And the rough green snake was beautiful – emerald green on top and yellow on the bottom. The rat snakes and racers are pretty common but we’re still happy to see them when we can.
